What: Donation Center Open House
Where: 1630 17th Street
When: Saturday, November 14 2015, 2 – 4 p.m.
What’s our Donation Center all about?
Our Donation Center accepts your books, CDs, DVDs and LPs. Have some items you’d like to donate towards a good cause? Come on by! We’re open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please check out our website or give us a call for a complete list of items we accept and for more information about your donation: www.friendssfpl.org or (415) 522-8600.
Where do the donations go?
After our stellar volunteers sort the items and our pricing specialist lends his keen eye, we sell the books and media in our bookstores, our Semi Annual Big Book Sales, our seasonal Steps Sales, our $1 Donation Center Sales, specialty book fairs and online. The proceeds support learning and literacy at the San Francisco Public Library.
How can I become a volunteer?
Volunteers are truly the heart & soul of our Book Operations. They are instrumental in donation intake, sorting, organizing and selling. Interested in this fun volunteer opportunity? Please contact our new Volunteer & Outreach Manager, Kristina Kearns (Welcome, Kristina!) at firstname.lastname@example.org or (415) 477-5223 or learn more about volunteering at www.friendssfpl.org.
