This week, President Obama appointed our amazing City Librarian Luis Herrera To Serve on the National Museum and Library Services Board.
This appointment is in addition to being Library Journal‘s 2012 Librarian of the Year and overseeing the largest building campaign in the history of the San Francisco Public Library. Did we mention that he’s also the Chair of the California Council for Humanities and serves on the Steering Committee for the Digital Public Library of America?
As a member of the National Museum and Library Services Board, Herrera will provide strategic advice to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), helping libraries and museums throughout the United States contribute to the educational, cultural and civic life of our nation.
We are so proud to have such outstanding leadership, and from all of us here at The Readers Review, CONGRATULATIONS LUIS!
